An aeronautical engineer with rich background in technology transfer, institution building and university industry linkages. He regularly participates and mentor young entrepreneurs, helps in developing the entrepreneurial eco-system by linking university researchers with entrepreneurs.

Mr. Maqsood Zulfqar  – Director

With 38 years of experience and very diverse experience of global trading and distribution, Maqsood Zulfqar is the CEO of Rastgar Air Compressor Group Companies. He has deep insights into working of Pakistan’s manufacturing sector and is respected by the corporates dealing with his companies and attending his training seminars in addition to lending his time for university-industry linkages .
 
Under Maqsood Zulfqar’s leadership, Rastgar & Company has emerged as a successful machinery distribution company. He has led his team to become one of the main players for marketing , sales and service of Industrial Equipment in Pakistan ; ranging from Air Compressor ,Air purification, CNG Complete Station, Construction Equipment , Engines and Material Handling Equipment. Rastgar & Co is a major player in Industrial Air Compressor market of Pakistan. 
Under Maqsood Zulfqar’s stewardship, Rastgar & Company distributes CompAir, , Hyundai Forklifts and a host of other well-known brands in Pakistan i addition to a host of industrial services provided by group companies.
 
Mr. Maqsood Zulfqar graduated from University of Karachi and is widely traveled. He has continued his own training and development by attending courses in Japan, Korea, Germany, Holland and other countries. He has 38 years of business development experience in negotiating with and working for world renowned machinery multinationals. His business acumen has been a guiding light in managing Rastgar & Co as a successful company in the field of distribution, sale, service and training of industrial machinery. 
A member of Pakistan Institute of Management, Pak German Business Forum and Karachi Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Maqsood Zulfqar also contributes his time to not-for-profit institutions and philanthropic activities.
